Ysgol Bancffosfelen is a bilingual primary school that provides education for pupils between 3 - 11 years of age and is located some two miles from Pontyberem in the Gwendraeth Valley.

The children are admitted to school at the beginning of the term of their fourth birthday.

The school's principal aim is to encourage the development of children as individuals and as members of society in order to prepare them for adult life.
