Welcome to the Carmarthenshire Music Service website.
The Music Service exists to support Carmarthenshire schools in ensuring that each and every pupil is given the opportunity to fulfil his or her musical and personal potential:
- Where a child has the potential to learn a musical instrument, the Music Service exists to provide that child with professional tuition, and a range of performing opportunities.
- Where a child’s main instrument is the voice, the Music Service exists to provide professional tuition, and a range of performing opportunities.
- Where a child is unable to access the curriculum due to physical, emotional, behavioural or learning difficulties, the Music Service exists to offer that pupil musical tuition as a means of unlocking his or her potential.
- Where a primary school, due to a lack of expertise or confidence, is unable to deliver curriculum music, the Music Service exists to support schools in their delivery of this aspect of the curriculum.
