WALES CURRICULUM 2008
The main changes to the current (2000) Order are:
- The title has been changed from Information Technology (IT) to Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
- More detail has been added under Range about types of activity and contexts for learning.
- Greater emphasis has been placed on using ICT to generate new information on which to make decisions.
- Examples have been reviewed and updated to reflect life in the twenty-first century.
- A statement has been added to Range to focus on health, safety and child protection.
- Level descriptions have been revised to clarify progression.

NGfL Cymru
Recently, a group of six teachers received a grant from NGfL Cymru to enable them to spend six days producing an electronic resource pack comparing and contrasting Carmarthen and Pendine. A variety of resources were produced including lesson plans, flipcharts, Clicker grids, ClozePro files, Flash activities and slide shows of photographs. These resources are now up on the NGfL Cymru website and can be accessed using the link below.

A second group of teachers have also received a grant from NGfL Cymru, which enabled them to produce an electronic resource pack based on Drug Awareness. Again, this comprises a variety of different resources including lesson plans, flipcharts and video clips. These resources are also up on the NGfL Cymru website and can be accessed using the link below.
