Llancaiach Fawr Manor House
Llancaiach Fawr was the home of the Pritchard family. The building has been restored to reflect life in 1645 during the Civil War. 1645 was a critical year in Wales during the war and the staff reflect the changes that took place through the year. At the beginning of the year staff will be supporting the king and refer to events that have happened at that time. Approaching the summer they will be reflecting the uneasiness that Colonel Pritchard and the local gentry felt with the crown and by the end of the year they will be supporting Parliament as the local leaders have changed sides. In a bid to firm up flagging support in Wales Charles visited the district and went to Llancaiach to meet with Colonel Pritchard.
