Strand 2:Disseminating and Sharing Good Practice
The 'Disseminating and Sharing Good Practice' strand of the county's CPD programme will make use of Amdro to showcase the good practice being developed within individual schools, or through schools working together at a local level.
Carmarthenshire LEA is continuing to seek effective ways of not only capturing information about the successful CPD activities that take place within the county, but also of disseminating the outcomes of developing practice.
In order to become successful, this element of Amdro will depend on the willingness of schools to share practice and input information alongside LEA colleagues. This site will be used to post information regarding good practice as it is gathered from a range of activities, including examples of good practice:
* Identified through 'Good Practice Support and Challenge' discussions between link advisers and schools (Strand 3)
* Embedding in schools as the result of teacher attendance at short courses or consultancies - identified by advisory service providers; (Strand 1 & 3 )
* Emerging from the joint working of small schools; (Strand 3)
* Developing through transition projects involving families of schools; (Strand 3)
* Resulting from networking activities using GTCW funding and projects using European Funding; (Strand 3)
* Resulting from projects involving schools, the LEA and Trinity College Carmarthen wotking in partnership (Strand1 & 3)
* Resulting from collaboration between the LEA, Ceredigion and the other five LEA's which make up the South West and Mid Wales Consortium (Strand 1 & 4)
These examples will also be accessed via the appropriate learning sites on Amdro based on content e.g. History, the Foundation Phase.
