Healthy Schools

Welcome to the Healthy Schools section of the Internet. The Healthy Schools Scheme has been running successfully since September 2001. There are now 127 schools on the Healthy Schools Scheme in Carmarthenshire. 111 primary schools, 2 special schools and 14 secondary schools. The remaining 13 schools will be invited to be part of the scheme in September 2008. The Project forms part of the World Health Organisation's initiative 'European Network of Health Promoting Schools' of which Wales is now part.

The site contains a wealth of information for Carmarthenshire Schools that are accredited to the Scheme, with a template action plan, examples of good practice and useful links. Details about forthcoming events are also posted on the site.
